Magnetic T12 Countdown

The End of T12 Magnetic Ballasts
The countdown has begun! The age of certain T12 magnetic ballasts is coming to an end. The Department of Energy (DOE) Ballast Ruling prevents the manufacture or import of 1-lamp and 2-lamp F40T12 and 2-lamp F96T12 magnetic replacement ballasts after July 1, 2010. However, these ballasts can continue to be sold by electrical distributors until inventories are depleted.

An Easy Transition from Magnetic
We offer a full line of electronic options that exceed the DOE performance requirements for
T12 ballasts. Reliable and energy-efficient, they offer proven performance and fast payback of investment based on the up to 30%* energy savings they drive relative to their standard magnetic counterparts. Not to mention the potential
tax deductions (now extended to 2013) that may be available.

Whether the application calls for a T12 four-foot, slimline, or high output lamps, our line of T12 electronic ballast are ideal for a broad range of retrofit applications that use either energy saving or standard lamps. Also we now have models with IntelliVolt® available for 2-lamp fixtures using 34W or 40W lamps.

  • By designing our T12 electronic ballasts with the very same mounting and wiring configurations as your current T12 magnetic models**, We have made converting to an electronic fixture effortless. Our ballasts also offer a variety of benefits including:
  • Improved efficiency (saves up to 30% over their magnetic counterparts
  • Lighter weight with the same mounting and wiring configurations provides simplified installation
  • Quieter operation means no more annoying hum from magnetic ballasts

We are committed to providing solutions to the lighting industry that promote sustainability through the conservation of our natural resources. The EPA has determined that end users who upgrade their lighting systems reduce the demand on fossil fuel-burning power plants which, in turn, reduces the pollutants that increase the effects of global warming, acid rain, smog, and greenhouse gases.

Every kilowatt hour saved equals 1.4 pounds of CO2 emissions saved.
Converting your magnetic T12 ballasts to our electronic T12 ballasts is a great way to create a more sustainable lighting system well as saving money on your electricity bills.

Lower Electricity Bills

T12 Chart
By switching to Electronic T12 you can save $40 per fixture over the life of the system or $3.20 per fixture annually.***

To bring it home even further, if the customer has 500 fixtures to retrofit they will save $20,000 over the life of all 500 fixtures or $1,600 annually for all 500 fixtures.***

By switching to our electronic T12 ballasts today you can easily switch out your magnetic ballasts, start using a more sustainable product and save money over the life of the fixture. Start converting today as the days of magnetic ballasts are quickly coming to an end. The countdown continues!
